THE EU VAT NIGHTMARE
Attention customers in the European Union (this does not affect customers outside of Europe)
As you may have already heard, from july 1st 2021 all packages entering the EU will now be subject to a VAT charge, and most likely a handling charge also.
The old ‘if it’s under 22 euros in value you’ll be fine’ rule has been scrapped.
You may wish to check your countries ruling on this before placing an order to make sure you don’t get a nasty surprise upon delivery.
Many of us small labels are trying to find a solution to this situation which will soften the blow, but it may take some time. It truly is heartbreaking to keep facing these obstacles being put in our way since the whole brexit bullshit.
I sincerely hope you EU customers stick around, as a big percentage of riot season’s oldest and loyalist supporters are based in the EU.
There is a rumour that Bandcamp are going to announce something related to this imminently and we can only all hope it’s good news!
