A propos Signal: das Label gab’s wohl nur 1955/56, es wurde von Jules Colomby gegründet: langjähriger Manager von Monk (mindestens späte 50er bis späte 60er, beim Palo Alto-Konzert war auch er noch zuständig), älterer Bruder von Bobby (BS&T – auf der Homepage von Fred Lipsius steht, dass es auch mal die Idee eines Monk/BS&T-Album gab … ob das besser geworden wäre, als das mit Oliver Nelson?)
