Das hat Ron Carter selbst auf Facebook geteilt – ein Foto aus den späten 50ern, als er als Student der Eastman School of Music gerade beim Unterreicht an seinem Zweitinstrument war:
This pic was taken during my studies at Eastman School of Music I was majoring in music, with a minor in bass. The program was designed to prepare you for teaching. One of the course requirements was to spend a semester learning a new instrument and teaching it.
The man beside me is Don Smith, a good friend and the best trombone player in the class, helping me learn the instrument.
