Here’s another picture of George Cables. Taken at the weirdest place. It was a club in Japan called „The Shell.“ The stage was a giant clam shell that opened and closed. The floor was plexiglass with sand and gorgeous fake sea creatures beneath. The glasses were cut glass with fishes made in Italy. Ditto the tables. It was completely mad. And who was running the house band at that time ????? Red Mitchell !!!!
