redbeansandrice Earl Anderza – Outa Sight das war jetzt irgendwie logisch… um Billboard vom 27. April 1963 zu zitieren, keine Perle des Journalismus, aber ein interessanter Blick auf den Free Jazz (vor Albert Ayler), also, ich glaub nicht, dass 1966 noch jemand gesagt haette, dass dieses Album hier zur New Wave gehoert – aber wer weiss Earl Anderza is an alto saxist who falls into the new wave category. He is akin to Eric Dolphy, with a touch of [sic] Arnetto Coleman, and the tone color and range he gets from his instrument is imaginative and appealing. He demonstrates his personal style here, with help from Jack Wilson on standards and originals. Best tracks include You’d be so nice to come home to“, Outa Sight“ and All the things you are“.
