Ich mag die drei Alben bzw. die Doppel-CD ganz gerne, aber das beste Album von Wilkerson dürfte jenes sein, das er 1960 für Riverside aufgenommen hat, „The Texas Twister“, mit einer phantastischen Band (Nat Adderley, Barry Harris, Leroy Vinnegar/Sam Jones, Billy Higgins). Manchmal ist eben nicht das auf dem Kult-Label das beste (aber manchmal schon, klar).
