Great news:
The new Stone Foundation album Everybody, Anyone will be released on 24th August via 100% Records. It is available to pre-order now on a variety of limited edition and signed formats. The album features 11 new Stone Foundation tracks and was recorded at Paul Weller’s Black Barn studio. It continues the band’s collaboration with Paul who plays on 5 of the album’s tracks. Other guest contributors include Mick Talbot & Steve White (The Style Council), Dr Robert (The Blow Monkeys), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band) and Kathryn Williams.

Paul Weller releases his 14th solo album in September, the 26th studio effort of his entire career. True Meanings is a record unlike any he has ever made before. It is not ‚a departure,‘ in the sense that soul bearing, melancholic songs have always been an important part of what he does: from English Rose, to Brand New Start, right up to The Ballad of Jimmy McCabe from last year’s Jawbone soundtrack. But never, ever before has he allowed himself an entire album to exhibit this side of his songwriting, or presented them quite like this.
True Meanings is an album characterised by grandiose-yet-delicate, lush orchestration: an aesthetic to which Paul’s better-than-ever voice, singing some of his most nakedly honest words, is perfectly suited. It is both an album that a lot of his faithful audience have been wanting him to make for a long time, and an album that many new people outside of that audience will relate to.

Paul Weller reveals details of new album, True Meanings

Out on Sept 14, it features Rod Argent, Danny Thompson, Martin Carthy and Noel Gallagher
Paul Weller has announced that his 14th solo album, True Meanings, will be released on September 14.
The press release describes it as “an album characterised by grandiose-yet-delicate, lush orchestration… A dreamy, peaceful, pastoral set of songs to get lost in”.
Special guests include Rod Argent of The Zombies, folk legends Danny Thompson and Martin Carthy, Lucy Rose, Little Barrie and Noel Gallagher. Lyrics to three of the songs were written by Erland Cooper from Erland & The Carnival and another by Conor O’Brien of Villagers.
It includes the song “Aspects” that was released to mark Weller’s 60th birthday in May.
