Am Klavier Jimmy Jones, Oscar Pettiford spielt Bass und Osie Johnson Schlagzeug. Als unnötiges Füllsel gibt’s zwei der Stücke des Thad Jones Quintet, im selben Jahr für Mingus‘ Debut-Label aufgenommen mit diesem am Bass, Hank Jones am Klavier sowie Kenny Clarke am Schlagzeug.

Ja, die Scheibe gefällt mir schon sehr gut, zum Ende der Scheibe hin werden die Stücke immer besser.
Zur Entspannung ein paar Jahre zurück…
