Frémeaux legt eine exzellente Zusammenstellung zum europäischen Jazz der Fünfziger vor – „cool“ sind vermutlich längst nicht alle Stücke, aber die Auswahl sieht auf den ersten Blick so gut aus, dass ich versucht bin, das Ding zu kaufen, ohne genauer nachzugucken, wieviele der Stücke ich nicht schon irgendwo habe.
