„Outward bound“ ist ja eines der eher gemäßigteren Dolphy-Einspielungen (durch Hubbard zuweilen auch konventioneller).
Daher würde ich nicht sofort mit „Out to lunch“ weitermachen. Die Flöte steht da zwar mehr im Vordergrund, aber die Musik ist doch gänzlich anders.
Gut fände ich „Out there“ oder „Far Cry“ danach sowie die „Five Spot“-Aufnahmen. Danach (spätestens) auf jeden Fall „Out to lunch“ und sofort „Iron Man“ dazu.
Sollte es dann immer noch nicht reichen, dann „The Quest“, McIntyre’s „Looking ahead“ und Carter’s „Where?“.
