Okay, hier ist meine Liste, die ich in den letzten Tagen verfasst habe, immer wieder umschrieb, Songs rausnahm und ersetzte, hin und her warf, die Reihenfolge veränderte, allgemein die Liste reifen ließ. Hab auf YouTube noch mal Probe gehört und die richtige Schreibweise von Titel und Künstler gecheckt. In dieser Fassung spiegelt sie nun ungefähr meine musikalischen Prioritäten in Bezug auf Songs des Jahrzehnts 1990 wider, auch bezüglich der Rangfolge. Was ich damals als juveniler Zeitzeuge tatsächlich aktiv gehört habe. Dazu setzte ich mir die Beschränkung, nicht mehr als drei Titel je Act zu listen.
Eröffnet wird meine Liste durch „Anthem for the year 2000“ von Silverchair, der Song rotierte im Frühjahr 1999 auf MTV und Viva. Mit diesem mitreißenden Stück läuteten die Australier um Komponist Daniel Johns den Countdown zum neuen Jahrtausend ein, jedenfalls im jugendlichen Alternative-Rock-Sektor.
Auch Elton John lässt sich 2x in meiner Liste finden. Als ich im Herbst 1995 mit dem Französischunterricht an einem zweiwöchigen Schüleraustausch in Auxerre teilnahm, setzte mich meine Gastfamilie am ersten Abend im Esszimmer vor deren Stereoanlage und drückte mir die Doppel-CD „The Very Best of…“ von Elton John in die Hand. Auf diesem Album blieb der Song „Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds“ in meinem Gedächtnis hängen. Kuriose Melodie, merkwürdiger Songtitel. Dass das Lied im Original von den Beatles stammt, erfuhr ich erst einige Jahre später … als ich ab dem Jahr 2000 anfing, über meinen Hard’n’Heavy- und Alternative-Tellerrand zu schauen. Ich hoffe, es stimmt alles in Bezug auf Zahlen und Schreibweisen, ansonsten bitte Bescheid geben.
