Ehrenrettung: Der Basser steht meist im Hintergrund, selten ist er Frontman. Lemmy, Sting, Phil Lynott, Bootsy, Stanley Clarke sind eher die Ausnahme. Trotzdem ist der Bass in fast jeder Band unverzichtbar. Bei The Who nimmt John schon eine Ausnahmestellung ein, ähnlich Jack Bruce bei The Cream. So weit vorn waren nicht mal Bill Wyman oder Macca.
