John Coltrane “ Live at The Village Vanguard“ + „Live At The Village Vanguard Again“ + Bonusmaterial (allesamt aufgenommen während eines ganzwöchigen Engagements 1ster – 5ter November 1961) = „THE COMPLETE 1961 VILLAGE VANGUARD RECORDINGS“ …. gehört eigentlich alles in eine „Umfrage Sammelposition“, so kann man unverfälschend argumentieren ….
Live at the Village Vanguard Again! wurde am 28.05.1966 mitgeschnitten. Die LPs, die Material aus dem Village Vanguard vom November 1961 enthalten sind Live at the Village Vanguard, Impressions, The Other Village Vanguard Tapes sowie Trane’s Modes.

nein, quatsch, BRING ON THE NIGHT war meine erstbegegnung mit kenny kirkland, der ja hier wie auch branford marsalis viel soloraum bekommt. eigentlich ist das auch ein jazzalbum.

Ich lese da zunächst von einem 77-er Release, dann kommt das Original-Album aus 1962 zu Zug und nun soll es die Complete-Veröffentlichung aus dem Jahr 1997 sein?

Hab’s probiert bzw für die Berücksichtigung der beiden anderen genannten Veröffentlichung unter „…. Complete“ lobbyiert …. es ist halt (nur) ein Spiel …. I rest my case ….

Miles Davis auf Platz 12 habe ich angepasst.sorry @pipe-bowl, wenn ich es dir schwer mache. ich dachte, es wäre auch für dich einfacher, wenn du nicht lauter einzelnennungen auswerten musst, sondern alben, die mehrfach genannt wurden. es gab jetzt halt einfach einen austausch im forum und dadurch drei änderungen (das davis-dokumente habe ich einmal, das coltrane-dokument zweimal geändert), ich dachte, das sei vertretbar. dass man änderungen markieren soll, stand leider nicht im eingangspost, sonst hätte ich das gleich gemacht.

Wenn ich das richtig in Erinnerung habe, gab es bisher 10 Stimmen für das 1962er Impulse! Album und 2 für das Boxset The Complete 1961 Village Vanguard Recordings.
