Eine so spontan überraschende wie schöne Umfrage. Thanks, atom!Schließe mich an. Vor allem ist diese Umfrage dahingehend interessant, als dass alle User/Teilnehmer diese Dekade aktiv erlebt haben dürften und nicht etwa retroperspektiv erschließen mussten.
1. Allah-Las – Allah-Las
Sehr schön! Das Album hatte mich seinerzeit wirklich aus den Socken gehauen. Klangbild und Produktion waren und sind schlicht sensationell, die Songs gingen voll ins Ohr. Garage, Surf und verträumte, friedliche Psychedelia: Selten klang eine Platte mehr nach Sonne, Strand und Meer.
Nach dem zweiten Album Worship The Sun war ich allerdings raus: Der Drittling Calico Review hat mir nichts mehr gegeben, allerdings habe ich ihm auch nicht mehr viel Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet. Sollte ich den jüngeren Alben noch einmal eine Chance geben? Denn die beiden als Single veröffentlichen „Berry Jams“ fand ich wiederum ganz gut…
PS: Durch die Allah-Las kam ich übrigens auch auf Nick Waterhouse, der mir ebenfalls viele schöne musikalische Stunden bescherte.
