Die Songs beweisen nur, welchen guten Riecher Polydor damals hatte, als sie die Veröffentlichung von „Modernism…“ verweigert hat. Ich habe ab Mitte der 80er bis weit in die 90er Jahre nebenbei als DJ gearbeitet und habe selbstverständlich auch Acid- und House-Music Tracks aufgelegt. Aber diese beide Tracks hätte ich damals nicht gespielt. Es gibt nur eine gute Aufnahme von TSC aus dieser Zeit: Promised Land. Und das war eine Coverversion.

Ich kann mit dem Modernism-Zeug auch nicht viel anfangen, finde allerdings, dass es mit Sure Is Sure doch einen wirklich guten Track auf dem Album gibt. Macht für mich also zwei gute Aufnahmen aus der Zeit. Promised Land ist natürlich toll, das hatte ich jüngst auch in meiner Top-20-Liste hier im Umfragen-Thread.
Von daher finde ich auch bei den beiden Acetate-Tracks den zweiten ganz fein, die Version gefällt mir. Love Of The World dagegen lässt mich vollständig kalt.
