Oasis‘ Liam Gallagher has come out in support of a campaign to save the honey bee from disappearing.

The singer was apparently made aware of the plight of the insect after honey helped him cure a throat virus that forced Oasis to pull out of the V Festival, before the band split in August.

„The bees are vanishing. We’ve got to save them before they all buzz off. It’s important. It’s a really worthwhile cause. Liam told The Sun. „Without them we’re in proper bother.“ He explained.

musste ich jetzt erst mal googlen, um zu schauen ob das wirklich echt ist.

auch nicht schlecht: noel geht vielleicht mit kasabian auf tour. Bienen retten ist aber natürlich eine ganz andere Liga.

Neben der Meldung mit Kasabian auf Tour zu gehen wurde auch bestätigt, dass Noel an einem Solo Album arbeitet. Ich bin gespannt.

Jay-Z has said that he wants to work with Oasis‘ Liam Gallagher.

The rapper explained that he first became interested in working with the singer after reading Snoop Dogg’s recent admission to NME.COM that he would be interested in signing Noel Gallagher to Priority Records, of which he is creative director.

„I hear Snoop Dogg might be teaming up with Noel. If that’s the case then I would love to work with Liam,“ Jay-Z told The Sun. „Their [Oasis‘] music is tight and I think we could blend our styles well.“

The rapper said that hooking up with Gallagher could yield similar results as his collaboration with Linkin Park, with whom he released the joint album ‚Collision Course‘ in 2004, as well as playing live with them.

„When I teamed up with Linkin Park nobody expected that to work but we made a massive success of it,“ he said. „The same could happen with Liam.“

He added that he wants the Oasis frontman to get in touch with him about the collaboration as he’s confident the two could create „something brilliant“ together. „When you have two artists like us in a room just throwing about ideas you come up with something brilliant fairly easily,“ he said. „I don’t know what he is up to now but he can give me a call.“

Ach, was, die saufen sich jetzt durch ihr persönliches „Lost Weekend“ und bringen eine neue Platte raus, wenn sie wieder Kohle brauchen. :)

…das mit dem „Geld brauchen“ wird auf Noel wohl nicht zutreffen. Hatte er doch vor etwa drei Jahren im „Spiegel“ erklärt, dass er mehr Schotter hat als er je ausgeben könnte. Weshalb für ihn beispielsweise auch Steuerflucht kein Thema wäre.

Möglicherweise bekommt einer der Gallagher-Brüder ein erfolgreiches Solo-Projekt zustande, aber auch wenn vielleicht ein paar Jahre ins Land gehen müssen, die beiden raufen sich wieder zusammen und nehmen eine neue Platte auf. Daran habe ich absolut keinen Zweifel.
