Jedenfalls besser als oft dargestellt. Es heißt ja, es sei das lustlose Abschiedswerk eines wütenden Künstlers, der sich von seiner ungeliebten Plattenfirma trennen will, ihr aber vertraglich noch ein Album schuldet. Das mag die Sachlage gewesen sein, aber es ist immer noch Prince, und anders als manche der wechselhaften Alben davor ist C&D relativ konsistent. Keine Großtat für meine Ohren, aber eine CD, die ich behalten werde.
