Von Sir Victor Uwaifo gab es 2008 auf Soundway ein schöne Compilation: Sir Victor Uwaifo: Guitar Boy Superstar 1970-76 Mein Interesse an weiteren Nigeria 70 Ausgaben hält sich zur Zeit jedoch in Grenzen.Danke für den Hinweis, aber ich muss da auch etwas dosieren … neben drei der „Nigeria 70“ Compilations („The Definitive Story of 1970’s Funky Lagos“, „Lagos Jump“ und jetzt die neue) habe ich auch die beiden Soundway-„Nigeria Special“-Compilations mit Aufnahmen ebenfalls von 1970-76. Uwaifo ist da überall vertreten, das reicht mir wohl für den Moment.

Zum Glück gibt es das Akkordeon, sonst müsste es noch erfunden werden. Hier teils in Kombination mit Klarinetten (und weiteren Bläsern) und Sousaphon – wundbar
