Nun, mit der Zeit verschwimmt manches. Jedoch hatten auf meinen Mixtapes beide Bands immer gehörigen Abstand voneinander (wenn es überhaupt C90s gab, auf denen Songs von beiden Formationen drauf waren) – hat sich halt bis heute so gehalten…
Aber Du hast nicht ganz unrecht, letztens packten die Formatradiospacken die Stranglers zwischen Foreigner und Barclay James Harvest…
Und „The Gospel Comes To New Guinea“ war nicht als Rausschmeißer gedacht sondern sollte als Überleitung für „Being Boiled“ fungieren. Leider habe ich mich etwas mit der Zeit verkalkuliert.
Da bin ich ja ein wenig beruhigt. 23 Skidoo ist als Rausschmeißer eigentlich auch zu schade. „Being Boiled“ aber irgendwie auch – ein Beach Boys-Stück weniger und es hätte fast gepasst…
(Letztens wählte ich „Hit The Road Jack“ in der Version von den Residents als „Rausschmeißer“ aus – dumme Auswahl, die letzten Gäste forderten lautstark noch mehr von dieser Art…)
