Werde ich auf jeden Fall noch öfter anhören, bisher ist mein Eindruck auf jeden Fall recht positiv.
Und die neue von den Monkeys werde ich sicherlich auch bald unter die Lupe nehmen (ist die eigentlich schon „offiziell“ erschienen?;-)).--
Humbug erscheint laut meines lesezeichens am 21. august… letzte woche habe ich auschließlich die für private zwecke aufgenommen audio-tracks der webtransmission und frühere alben, demos und b-seiten gehört. zur einstimmung auf’s neue album quasi.
ja, was ich bisher von the xx gehört habe, gefällt. sehr chillig, wenn man das so sagen darf. ein wenig erinnert mich das an slowdive (auch wenn die wohl noch ein wenig mehr versponnen sind, und, äh, ein wenig transzendentaler?). viel mehr als an the cure etc. aber vielleicht kenne ich auch einfach nur nicht die richtigen the cure-alben.

9. Kasabian 12@ firecracker: Tja, ich muss zugeben, dass ich zu den von dir genannten Einflüssen bei The xx nicht allzu viel sagen kann…bin doch (noch) nicht so bewandert in dieser Richtung. Nichtsdestotrotz, das Album ist ein echter Grower, höre es nach anfänglicher Skepsis derzeit bei mindestens ***1/2

hat bei mir auch etwas gedauert, einen zugang zu slowdive zu finden. bin quasi rückwärts rangegangen, über neil halstead, dann mojave 3, dann slowdive. letztere haben wie the xx eben diese sehr meditative wirkung. muss the xx wohl auch recht oft gehört haben…. bin aber auch für ***1/2, glaube ich.
