STATE BROADCASTERS – The Ship and the Iceberg
Schönes Folkalbum, das manchmal zu schweben scheint. Dennoch fehlen mir die Melodien, die sich festsetzen. Aber das kann jedem anders ergehen. Anspieltipps: „Let’s Make T-Shirts“ und „Our Favourite Park“kann ich unterschreiben… erscheint mir im moment auch noch etwas beliebig, obwohl’s dennoch ganz schön ist.

Nachdem, was Myspace hergab, würde ich die Great Lake Swimmers deutlich höher einschätzen. Ich hab‘ mir die Platte geordert, VÖ ist nächsten Freitag. Ich melde mich dann nochmal.

How does it feel to be one of the beautiful people?Cassa, das Jahr hält sich bei Dir ja mit Höhepunkten zurück. Liegts vielleicht an Deinem Hörpensum? Ich habe jedenfalls auch Alben noch schätzen gelernt, die anfangs nicht groß hörenswert erschienen.

Das liegt vor allem daran, daß ich immer sehr knickerig mit Sternen umgehe. (Im Prinzip kann man bei mir in Gedanken ruhig einen Stern drauf legen, im Vergleich zu Otto-Normal-User. Ich habe mich gelegentlich auch schon recht gut bei * * 1/2 unterhalten gefühlt.)
Sterne schmeißen für den ersten Eindruck (und um nichts anderes geht es ja hier im Thread) funktioniert bei mir immer über das Prinzip „Song-TÜV“ – alle Lieder direkt nach dem Anhören benoten und dann daraus den Schnitt errechnen. Das heißt noch nicht zwangsläufig, daß ich dann im Endeffekt sympathische Drei-Sterne-Alben nicht doch öfter und lieber höre als manches andere mit vier Sternen, welches dann nach ein paar Durchläufen im Regal verstaubt.
Kompliziert, ich weiß, aber wer hat gesagt, daß wir Männer immer einfach sind? :sonne:Also ich habe für mich jetzt schon die schlechteste Platte des Jahres 2009 gewählt. „Back To Life“ von 80s Star SANDRA. Das geht sowas von gar nicht. Das klingt als wenn ein Roboter singt. Und die Songs sind so Bohlenesk obwohl da angeblich hochkarätige Songwriter dran gearbeitet haben.
