Absolut. Und wenn du mich damals nach den ersten vier Singles nach meinem Ranking gefragt hättest, wäre es mir sehr leicht gefallen. T. Rex auf 1, Slade auf 2 und The Sweet auf 3. Später gab es aber durchaus bei allen dreien Ups and downs.

pipe-bowl„The Sweet“ konnte man anfänglich auch unter Bubblegum-Pop ablegen, bevor sie den Glamrock für sich entdeckten.
Auf den ersten Singles hat keiner von der Band gespielt, nur Brian Connolly hat gesungen.
Diese Information ging schon damals so rund. Ist das verbrieft? Hallo, Wolfgang.
Ist es, laut meinen Buch Informationen über Sweet spielte die Band erst ab Wig Wam Bam selbst.
Das ist aber nicht ganz richtig, sie haben zu Teilen immer selbst gespielt allerdings teilweise mit Unterstützung von „Studiomusikern“ das war damals allerdings auch Usus bei neuen Bands, was dann wie auf den Platten landeten lag meist beim Toningenieur.
Ja klar, der zusätzliche Einsatz von Studiomusikern war völlig normal und an der Tagesordnung.
Und die wurden in die Studios bestellt und erfuhren oft erst dort, worum es eigentlich ging und was sie tun sollten.
Deshalb mussten das auch echte Profis sein, die das Geforderte in kürzester Zeit umsetzen konnten.--
