Das Lied wurde (und wird) durchaus gerne in Stadien gesungen. Die Dortmunder Fans haben das mal in irgendeinem Europapokalspiel eine ganze Halbzeit lang getan. Mit der ursprünglichen Intention des Liedes hat das natürlich nichts zu tun. Aber: Ein „gay anthem“ im Fußballstadion: immerhin!

Das schlimme ist – ich kenne JEDES EINZELNE LIED. Hab die 70er und 80er Charts – Threads verfolgt, da kannt ich nur jeweils ungefähr 3/4 der Lieder aber in den 90ern hatte ich sogar mal ne Maxi CD von Mr. Vain und Informer.

Zum Glück gab es abseits der Charts unglaublich viele interessante Bands. Die hab ich aber erst in den späten 90ern für mich entdeckt. Es gab allerdings EIN Lied das ich auch heute noch gerne höre und zwar Meat Loafs I’d do anything für love,dem würde ich sogar ****1/2 geben, Nothing compares ***1/2, der Rest zwischen * und *1/2, wober die Mehrzahl wohl bei * liegt.

3 x ****, das geht schon bei allen drei Songs voll in Ordnung. Ein gut gemachtes Stück Popmusik muss nicht immer „hohes Niveau“ haben, bei Macarena war es einfach der mitreissende Beat, den ich inzwischen hie und da wieder ganz gerne höre. Fatboy Slim beispielsweise könnte ich auch nicht ständig ertragen, aber wohl dosiert kann das auch gute Mucke sein.
