The album reached No. 34 on the British albums chart on its release in January 1979, remaining there for nine weeks and contributing a clutch of classic songs to the Nazareth repertoire. Of one of the album’s undoubted highlights, Agnew recalls: “‘May The Sunshine’ was a big hit for us: we liked that song, it was a collaboration between all of us. ‘No Mean City’ itself also became one of our best-known songs. As for the man on the front cover – ‘Friendly Fred,’ as he’s known to the fans – well, you just stick him on a T-shirt and it sells right away. I think it’s the most well-known sleeve we ever did.”

Loveless sogar als 2 CD mit den gesamten Tracks als Analogue Tape Remaster (?)
Wenn das gut remastered ist, wird das ein Fest (wobei die jetzt vorliegende Version schon gut ist)--

1984’s Medicine Show is the second record from Steve Wynn & Co., the follow up to their classic debut The Days Of Wine And Roses. This album is a little less Velvet Underground and Television, and a little more Neil Young and CCR, but still features Wynn’s distinctive songwriting and plenty of guitar workouts. Water’s deluxe reissue will include the This Is Not The New Dream Syndicate Album…Live! EP as bonus tracks and notes by David Fricke (Rolling Stone) and Steve Wynn along with vintage photos.

This beautifully presented 3cd and DVD boxset from legendary experimental Kraut-rockers Faust documents that most fashionable of things – the re-formation tour! In 1992, the band got back together after a hiatus, and proved to the world that they were still at the top of their game; still able to tickle their instruments with a Germanic glee and shout at the top of their voices maniacally. The first two discs in this set recorded in 2005 on their UK tour are a fully un-edited live performance from Newcastle and show the band in great spirits, unafraid to challenge a noisy audience and giving plenty of humour (!) in -between songs.
The third disc however shows the band in an even clearer light with a ‚best of‘ selection from the entire UK tour, cherry picking the most fearsome and knee trembling moments for our listening pleasure. Also if you’re of the mindset that live shows are a little better if you’re actually watching the band, the label have kindly plonked in a full-length DVD of selections from the tour so you can see ‚em in their full glory, prancing around like there’s no tomorrow.Track Listing

From Esoteric, the first ever UK CD release of the album ‚End Of The World‘ by Greek Psych / Prog legends Aphrodite’s Child. Formed in 1967 by keyboard player VANGELIS, the band also featured DEMIS ROUSSOS on bass and vocals and LUCAS SIDERAS on Drums. Their classic debut album was released in 1968 and featured the international hit ‘Rain and Tears’, partially inspired by PROCOL HARUM’s ‘A Whiter Shade of Pale’. However, the album revealed a more experimental side to the band’s nature with such Psychedelic gems as ‘The Grass is No Green’, ‘You Always Stand in My Way’ and ‘Day of the Fool’. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been re-mastered from the original tapes and includes both sides of Aphrodite’s Child’s first single as bonus tracks.
