This beautifully presented 3cd and DVD boxset from legendary experimental Kraut-rockers Faust documents that most fashionable of things – the re-formation tour! In 1992, the band got back together after a hiatus, and proved to the world that they were still at the top of their game; still able to tickle their instruments with a Germanic glee and shout at the top of their voices maniacally. The first two discs in this set recorded in 2005 on their UK tour are a fully un-edited live performance from Newcastle and show the band in great spirits, unafraid to challenge a noisy audience and giving plenty of humour (!) in -between songs.
The third disc however shows the band in an even clearer light with a ‚best of‘ selection from the entire UK tour, cherry picking the most fearsome and knee trembling moments for our listening pleasure. Also if you’re of the mindset that live shows are a little better if you’re actually watching the band, the label have kindly plonked in a full-length DVD of selections from the tour so you can see ‚em in their full glory, prancing around like there’s no tomorrow.
