The Green Arrows – Vor ein paar Wochen erst via Discogs die Lücke („Analog Africa No. 01“) geschlossen (No. 34 fehlt mir auch noch, aber die ist ja noch ganz neu – und von No. 2 habe ich leider nur das 2020er-Reissue, bei dem ein paar Tracks fehlen) … klasse! Und passt natürlich entfernt in die „Vorgeschichte“ von Bheki Mseleku, mit den hier und da durchschimmernden Kwela- und Mbaquanga-Grooves.

Gerade läuft zum ersten Mal „In the Footsteps of Rumi“, das neue Album von Ghalia Benali, die zusammen mit Kiya Tabassian und seinem Ensemble Constantinople Verse von Rumi vertont hat. Es gibt zudem zwei kurze instrumentale Stücke von Tabassian dazwischen, und gegen Ende noch Benlais „Fatwa for Love“ (Text von Mohamed Zein).

"Kunst ist schön, macht aber viel Arbeit" (K. Valentin)Suprig! Die beiden Co-Leader/Sänger mit einer schwedischen Acid-Jazz-Band (rec. 2002) … kenne Mahlasela (oder Zulu) bisher überhaupt, war ein recht spontaner Kauf beim letzten Bandcamp-Friday. Dürfte öfter laufen.
Kann auch komplett gestreamt werden (glaub ich? – oder sehe ich den „Play“-Button nur bei allen Tracks, weil ich’s gekauft habe?):
