gypsy tail windUnd die Hogwood-Mozart-Box ist geordert (Amazon behauptet fieserweise aber immer noch „1 Exemplar an Lager“ und „mehr ist unterwegs“ steht jetzt auch wieder daneben, die Eile wäre wohl doch nicht nötig gewesen).
naja es hat Deine – in diesem Fall gute – Entscheidung halt beschleunigt

Valentin)Jetzt brummt mir der Schädel … dass direkt nebenan (seit zwei, drei Wochen, hoffe die sind endlich mal fertig!) eine Kanalisation und irgendwelche Fundamente erneuert/betoniert werden, hilft auch nicht gerade, zumal das Gedröhne meist um 7, allerspätestens halb 8 einsetzt und mein Fenster nachts offen sein muss. Na ja, ich baue jetzt mit Stokowski meine eigene Wall of Sound dagegen
Aber echt, die Sachen sind witzig, das Concerto Grosso von Vivaldi („L’estro armonico“ Op. 3 No. 11) mit dem die Box öffnet, ist grandios! Später gibt es noch eine Art kleine Lully-Suite und einigen Händel … bei Bach passten anscheinend die neuneinhalb Minutne von Toccata und Fuge d-Moll BWV 565 1934 schon auf eine einzige Schellack-Platte – 12 Inch wohl? Ich dachte, da sei bei 3 (10″) bzw. 4:40 (12″) oder so maximal Schluss? Hatte man da in der Klassik etwas andere Mittel als im Jazz? War ja damals schon so, dass die neuen Formate erstmal in der Klassik zum Einsatz kamen und erst ein paar Jahre verspätet auch für populäre Musik (wie Jazz es damals ja noch war) Verwendung fanden.

Oh doch, sehr guten sogar! Und das Booklet ist in der Tat etwas zu ausführlich, als dass ich Lust gehabt hätte, das alles in Italienisch zu entziffern. Ich werde in den nächsten Tagen wohl viel Mozart hören, aber erst muss die Tzipine durch (die hat einiges gekostet und ich muss den Erhalt noch bestätigen/die Bezahlung beenden … bin aber auch sehr auf diese Musik gespannt … gerade erzählt Cocteau, der Märchenonkel, über die „mécanismes“ und den „contre-charme“ dieser Musik … allerdings weiss ich grad nicht, was er meint, wenn er „O-negär“ sagt ;-)).
