Logisch, dass ich viele Sachen aufgrund meines Alters erst durch den RS, Bücher, Querverweise, etc. kennengelernt habe. Trotzdem hat da eine Entwicklung stattgefunden, die Du nicht kennen kannst, weil Du mich und die Entwicklung meines Musikgeschmacks nicht kennst.

Ja, das Nachvollziehen dieser Entwicklung wird eben auch durch die Liste nicht erleichtert, da als 90er-Substrat nur Oasis und die Street Preachers übrig bleiben. Mit welchen Szenen und Genres Du während Deines (musikalischen) Reifens sympathisiert hast, kann ich so nicht sehen. Insofern ist Deine Liste jetzt schon zeitlos, „erwachsen“ und geschmackssicher. Das ist natürlich eher ein Kompliment als Kritik und soll ruhig so auch rüberkommen.

Um so mehr – auch grade vor dem Hintergrund Deiner intensiven Beschäftigung mit der Musik – würden mich natürlich auch gerade etwas abseitigere Vorlieben in einer Top100-Liste interessieren. Deshalb auch die Hervorhebung von „old ways“. Weshalb gerade diese Platte?

Die würde ich natürlich auch gerne sehen, um so giftiger, um so besser. Schließlich waren die 90er auch für mich biographisch (im Alter von 17-27) die wohl wichtigste und intensivsten Zeiten der Musikrezeption.

kramerIst doch logisch, dass man sich aus der gesamten Musikgeschichte bedient und nicht zwangsläufig auf immer und ewig das für wichtig und wegweisend hält, was einen zum Beispiel mit 16 beeindruckt hat. Wäre auch tragisch, denn für mich ist das Ganze ein Lernprozess, der hoffentlich lebenslang anhält. Man lernt ständig dazu und bewertet Sachen zwangsläufig anders. Ich habe schon viele Alben sehnsüchtig erwartet und für so manches Konzert in der Schlange gestande, aber vieles davon hat sich über die Jahre (zumindest auf Albumlänge) nicht bewährt. Ich weiss heute mehr, höre Musik anders und mich bewegen ganz andere Dinge als mit 16 und darum ist diese Liste ebenso von einer emotionalen Bindung geprägt, als wenn ich Alben listen würde, die ich in „Echzeit“ erlebt habe.

Bei ähnlicher Herangehensweise kommen wir zwei allerdings zu sehr unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen. Das macht aber unterm Strich auch weiter nichts. :bier:

Rufus und Bright Eyes habe ich bestimmt nicht in meiner Liste. Kenne von denen nämlich fast nichts.

Vega4´s Liste ist aber in der Tat schön, zB wegen „Brilliant Corners“ und „The Black Light“.
