1. The Smiths – There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
2. Nada Surf – Paper Boats
3. Whiskeytown – Jacksonville Skyline
4. Neil Halstead – Hi-Lo And Inbetween
<b>There Is A Light…</b>
Take me out tonight
Where there’s music and there’s people
And they’re young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven’t got one
AnymoreTake me out tonight
Because I want to see people and I
Want to see life
Driving in your car
Oh, please don’t drop me home
Because it’s not my home, it’s their
Home, and I’m welcome no moreAnd if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure – the privilege is mineTake me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don’t care
I don’t care, I don’t care
And in the darkened underpass
I thought Oh God, my chance has come at last
(But then a strange fear gripped me and I
Just couldn’t ask)Take me out tonight
Oh, take me anywhere, I don’t care
I don’t care, I don’t care
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven’t got one, da …
Oh, I haven’t got oneAnd if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure – the privilege is mineOh, There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
<b>
Paper Boats</b>Sit on a train, reading a book
Same damn planet every time i look
Try to relax and slow my heartbeat
Only works when i’m dead asleep
Been thinking and drinking all over the town
Must be gearing up for some kind of melt-down
All i am is a body floating down-wind
What’s wrong?
Nothing
Are you sure nothing’s wrong?
Yeah
But you’re sad about something
Yeah
So tell me what
I don’t know
I can’t tell you
All i am is a body floating down-wind
As the express train passes the local
It moves by just like a paper boat
Although it weighs a million pounds
I swear it almost seems to float
And as we pass by each other
Our heads all full of bother
We can’t look, we can’t stop
We can’t think, we can’t stop
Because we’re stuck in our own paths
And it’s the way it always lasts
But i need something more from you<b>Jacksonville Skyline</b>
The banks of the river run through my hometown
As a boy, ran dirt roads, and I scraped my knees
Well they paved the roads eventually
With neon signs and car dealerships and dinersThe soldiers fill the hotels on the weekends
I saw the pretty women as I walked through townWell, I moved away soon as I turned sixteen
Figured I was old enough to go and work a job
Well I floated down main street, pools of car lights
overcame me, wishing I was still back homeThe soldiers fill the hotels on the weekends
I saw the pretty women as I walked through townWell, Jacksonville’s a city with a hopeless streetlight
Seems like you’re lucky if it ever change from red to green
I was born in an abundance of inherited sadness
And .50 cent picture frames bought at a five and dimeI ended up a soldier on the weekend
Looking for a vacancy I wasn’t able to find
Somewhere the night sky hangs like a blanket
Shoot it with my cap gun just to make it
Seem like stars<b>Hi-Lo And Inbetween</b>
One day it just snowed I guess
and they closed the roads into your heart
You came home like a dead star
no light left, no loving anymoreYears ago you sent a postcard,
it’s the one that always made me laugh
It said ’send for reinforcements
cause there’s too much here for me to love‘What would they say
What would they say to make you feel OK
What would they do
What would they do to make you feel OKYears ago I read a story
about a man who had a plan
Tied himself on to a balloon
yeah, cut the ties and tried to reach the moonRescued by an airline pilot
15,000 feet above the world
Dragged him down, they wished him luck
they’d hoped that he learned his lesson wellWhat would they say
What would they say to make him feel OK
What would they do
What would they do to make him feel OKKathy I can still see stars
the same ones that we wished upon
I know you know your way around
but I can tell you’re losing groundI can see you on the radar
but you know I could never bring you back
You cut the ties, you’re floating free yeah, hi and lo and inbetween
you cut the ties, you’re floating free yeah, hi and lo and inbetween<b>Dream Letter
</b>
Lady time, fly away.
I’ve been thinkin‘
‚Bout my yesterdays.Oh please, listen darlin‘
To my empty prayer:
Sleep inside my dreams tonight.
All I need to know tonight,
How’re you and my child?Oh is he a soldier or is he a dreamer?
Is he mama’s little man?
Does he help you when he can?
Oh does he ask about me?Ah just like a soldier boy, Ah but I fight in wars
The world never knows about
Oh but I never win them loud
Oh there’s no crowds around meWhen I get to thinkin‘ about the old days
When love was here to stay
I wonder if we’d ever tried.
Oh what I’d give to hold you.-

Big Star – Holocaust
Your eyes are almost dead
Can’t get out of bed
And you can’t sleepYou’re sitting down to dress
And you’re a mess
You look in the mirrorYou look in your eyes
Say you realizeEverybody goes
Leaving those who fall behind
Everybody goes
As far as they can,
They don’t just care. They stood on the stairs
Laughing at your errors
Your mother’s dead
She said, „Don’t be afraid.“Your mother’s dead
You’re on your own
She’s in her bedEverybody goes
Leaving those who fall behind
Everybody goes
As far as they can
They don’t just care
You’re a wasted face
You’re a sad-eyed lie
You’re a holocaust.--
„love hurts“ hat aber boudleaux bryant geschrieben. :director:

Dirty, dirty feet from the concert in the grass / I wanted to believe that freedom there could last (Willy Mason)Dubstar – Ghost
Riverside on Friday night
My friends remain
They say your name
But my guard has gone
Put a brave face on
And make a smile you could hear
But you’re not here
I’ll trace the whole world to find your ghost
But wherever I go I’m alone
There’s no-one else
Still living by myself
Yes I’m eating well
I still cook for two you know
And the bathroom’s clean
Windows let the sun shine in
My complexion’s clear
But you’re not here
An empty bedroom
A silent phone
Wherever I go I’m alone
Wherever I go I’m alone
A stranger’s face, a different place
I see you everywhere
It’s funny how time does nothing
and doesn’t seem to care
But..
I’ll trace the whole world to find your ghost
Who could understand me now you’re gone
I’ll leave the bedroom
Unhook the phone
But wherever I go I’m alone
I’ll trace the whole world to find your ghost
But wherever I go I’m alone--
Shirley Bassey – Excuse Me
Excuse me
But would you repeat that phrase
I could have sworn I heard you say
You don’t care no moreExcuse me
But I can’t believe my ears
You mean after all these years
You just don’t care no moreYou can’t mean it
Please look at me and say
That we’re really through
Oh I see it
Now you look at me that way
Suddenly I know it’s trueExcuse me
I can’t seem to find the door
And my feet don’t find the floor
For my legs are numb and weak
And my throat ’s too dry to speak
But my heart wants so to scream
For this nightmare’s not a dream
You don’t care no more
You don’t care no more
You just don’t care no moreOb die beiden von mir genannten Texte wohl ohne die Musik wirken?

The Style Council – My Ever Changing Moods
Bob Dylan – You’re A Big Girl Now
Bob Dylan – If You See Her, Say Hallo
Element of Crime – Ofen Aus Glas
Juli – Geile ZeitThe Style Council – My Ever Changing Moods
Daylight turns to moonlight – and i’m at my best
Praising the way it all works – gazing upon the rest
The cool before the warm
The calm after the storm
I wish to stay forever – letting this be my food
But i’m caught up in a whirlwind and my ever changing moods
Bitter turns to sugar – some call a passive tune
But the day things turn sweet – for me won’t be too soon
The hush before the silence
The winds after the blast
I wish we’d move together – this time the bosses sued
But we’re caught up in the wilderness and an ever changing mood
Teardrops turn to children – who’ve never had the time
To commit the sins they pay for through – another’s evil mind
The love after the hate
The love we leave too late
I wish we’d wake up one day – an‘ everyone feel moved
But we’re caught up in the dailies and an ever changing moodEvil turns to statues – and masses form a line
But i know which way i’d run to if the choice was mine
The past is knowledge – the present our mistake
And the future we always leave too late
I wish we’d come to our senses and see there is no truth
In those who promote the confusion for this ever changing moodBob Dylan – You’re A Big Girl Now
Our conversation was short and sweet
It nearly swept me off my feet
And I’m back in the rain
Oh, and you are on dry land
You made it there somehow
You’re a big girl nowBird on the horizon, sitting on a fence
He’s singing his song for me at his own expense
And I’m just like that bird
Oh, singing just for you
I hope that you can hear
Hear me singing through these tearsLove is so simple, to quote a phrase
You’ve known it all the time, I’m learning it these days
And I know where I can find you
Oh, in somebody’s room
It’s a price I have to pay
You’re a big girl all the wayTime is a jet plane, it moves too fast
Oh but what a shame, that all we’ve shared can’t last
I can change I swear
Oh, see what you can do
I can make it through
You can make it tooA change in the weather is known to be extreme
But it ain’t like changing horses in midstream
I’m going out of my mind
Oh, with a pain that stops and starts
Like a corkscrew to the heart
Ever since we’ve been apartBob Dylan– If You See Her, Say Hello
If you see her, say hello, she might be in Tangier
She left here last early spring, is livin‘ there, I hear
Say for me that I’m all right though things get kind of slow
She might think that I’ve forgotten her, don’t tell her it isn’t so.We had a falling-out, like lovers often will
And to think of how she left that night, it still brings me a chill
And though our separation, it pierced me to the heart
She still lives inside of me, we’ve never been apart. If you get close to her, kiss her once for me
I always have respected her for busting out and gettin‘ free
Oh, whatever makes her happy, I won’t stand in the way
Though the bitter taste still lingers on from the night I tried to make her stay.I see a lot of people as I make the rounds
And I hear her name here and there as I go from town to town
And I’ve never gotten used to it, I’ve just learned to turn it off
Either I’m too sensitive or else I’m gettin‘ soft.Sundown, yellow moon, I replay the past
I know every scene by heart, they all went by so fast
If she’s passin‘ back this way, I’m not that hard to find
Tell her she can look me up if she’s got the time.Element Of Crime – Ofen aus Glas
Kauf dir ein Säckchen voll Blei
Binds an mein Bein und wirf mich hinein
In den See deiner Wünsche
Je suis Charlie Sometimes it is better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness.

I’m down again
And I don’t know how to tell you
But maybe this time I can’t come back
Because I might be too far downI wish for real
That I could turn it on and off
Like hot and cold and up and down
Because I’m down againI’m too far down
I couldn’t begin to smile
Because I can’t even laugh or cry
Because I just can’t do itIf it was so easy to be happy
Why am I so down?
All I can do is sit and wonder if it’s going to end
Or if I should just go away foreverWhen I sit and think
I wish that I just could die
Or let someone else be happy
By setting my own self freeAnd you don’t want the emotion
Because the taste it leaves is for real
But nothing’s ever real until it’s gone
And I might be too far downAnd is this just another thrown away
Or is this the end of the whole stupid road
But you wouldn’t want to know how I feel anyway
Because the darkest hole is at the end of the roadI’m down again
And I guess I’m not the only one who dreams
That there’s not any way to tell you
Because I might be too far doBeach Boys – In My Room
Theres a world where I can go and tell my secrets to
In my room, in my room
In this world I lock out all my worries and my fears
In my room, in my roomDo my dreaming and my scheming
Lie awake and pray
Do my crying and my sighing
Laugh at yesterdayNow its dark and Im alone
But I wont be afraid
In my room, in my room
In my room, in my room
In my room, in my roomThe Style Council – A Man of Great Promise
I bought the paper yesterday and I saw the obituary
And I read of how you died in pain –
Well I just couldn’t understand it
If I could of changed that, then Lord knows I’d do it now
But there is no going back –
And what’s done is done foreverBut you were always chained and shackled by the dirt –
Of every small town institution and every big town flirtAnd I think of what you might have been,
a man of such great promise
Oh but, you seem to forget the dream –
And the more you saw you hatedBut let’s not talk of blame, for what is only natural
Like a moth going to a flame –
You had a dangerous passionBut you were always chained and shackled by the dirt –
Of every small town institution and every big town flirtAll the things that you might have been – but who am I to say?
Still I wonder –
If it’s in the cold earth you prefer to lay –
If it’s in the cold earth – you prefer to stay--

"I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered." - George Best --- Dienstags und donnerstags, ab 20 Uhr, samstags ab 20.30 Uhr: Radio StoneFMRoy Orbison – Crying
I was all right for awhile
I could smile for awhile
But I saw you last night
You held my hand so tight
As you stopped to say, “Hello”.
Oh, you wished me well
You couldn’t tell that I’ve been
Crying over you, crying over you
When you said “So long”
Left me standing all alone
Alone and crying, crying, crying, crying.
It’s hard to understand
But the touch of your hand
Can start me crying
I thought that I was over you
but it’s ture, so true,
I love you even more than I did before
but darlin, what can I do?
For you don’t love me and I’ll always be
crying over you, crying over you
Yes, now you’re gone
and from this moment on
I’ll be crying, crying ,crying, crying
Yeah, crying, crying, over you.George Jones – He Stopped Loving Her Today
He said I’ll love you ‚til I die
She told him you’ll forget in time
As the years went slowly by
She still preyed upon his mindHe kept her picture on his wall
Went half crazy now and then
He still loved her through it all
Hoping she’d come back againKept some letters by his bed
Dated 1962
He had underlined in red
Every single „I love you“I went to see him just today
Oh but I didn’t see no tears
All dressed up to go away
First time I’d seen him smile in yearsHe stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they’ll carry him away
He stopped loving her todayYou know she came to see him one last time
Oh and we all wondered if she would
And it kept running through my mind
This time he’s over her for good--
