WerbungZappa1Ja, die Alben kamen für mich genau zur richtigen Zeit. Und natürlich war ich zu der Zeit sowieso schon großer Kraftwerk und Neu! Fan, deshalb haben mich auch gerade die Instrumental-Stücke besonders fasziniert.
Auch wenn ich damals noch zu jung war, und die Platten nicht kannte, auch Kraftwerk und NEU! nicht, und mich nur vage an diese Zeit erinnern kann – vielleicht aber auch gerade deswegen – so lässt vor allem Low und da ganz besonders die zweite, instrumentale Seite ein Szenario vor meinem geistigen Auge entstehen, das für mich faszinierend ist. Es gibt inzwischen ja einige Fotobände und Kunstbände (die Gemälde von Karl Horst Hödicke, den Neuen Wilden …) vom Berlin der 70er und 80er, die eine inzwischen romantisch verklärte Tristesse & Wildheit West-Berlins zeigen. Low versetzt den Hörer in diese Welt.

An essential for fanatics, the best of David Bowie’s BBC radio sessions from 1968 to 1972 are now available on vinyl! Presented as a 4LP box set, it features Oh! You Pretty Things from a Sounds Of The ’70s: Bob Harris broadcast in 1971, which was previously exclusive on the Japanese CD release. Completely exclusive to the set, and therefore making itâs debut, meanwhile, is the once lost The Supermen from the Sounds Of The ’70s: Andy Ferris broadcast from March, 1970. This recording was only re-discovered during the research for the original CD set, and remained unreleased until now.

Ich bin ganz einfach der Auffassung, dass McCartney nach den Beatles – deren Output bei mir über jeden Zweifel erhaben ist – sehr wohl eine Menge Schrott veröffentlicht hat.

Ging mir genauso. Ich habe vor vielen Jahren in London mal die Komödie „The Complete Shakespeare“ gesehen, wo alle seine 37 Stücke in 90 Minuten gespielt werden – so ähnlich kam mir das Gaga Medley vor; nur das es in ihrem Fall nicht lustig gemeint war. Ein einziger, dafür aber vollständiger Song wäre besser gewesen.

Das Lady Gaga Ding war eine Unverschämtheit. Die technische Idee dahinter mag gut gewesen sein, nur hat ihr Ego sie wieder überkommen und sie hoielt den Kopf bei den Projektionen nichgt still – wahrscheinliuch damit man ihr Gesicht erkennen kann. Dann hat sie auch noch absolut mies gesungen, das Medley war extrem schlecht zusammengeflickt und und und… Ich weiss, dass sie das besser kann, aber da sie mit Preisen zugeschissen wird, auch wenn sie nichts leistet (siehe Golden Globe für American Horror Story Hotel), gibt sie sich halt auch keine Mühe mehr. Das war für mich reine Leichenfledderei…

Diese Einschätzung trifft auch mein Empfinden recht gut. Nachdem ihr Tribut im Vorfeld mit so viel Brimborium bedacht und als ach so großer Wurf angekündigt wurde, fand auch ich den Auftritt mehr als ernüchternd: Lieblos und oberflächlich bei stressigem Arrangement. Der Umstand, dass ich Lady Gaga per se nichts abgewinnen kann, mag sein übriges dazu beigetragen haben…
