Mache ich gerne. Ich habe das Album gerade noch einmal intensiv gehört. Ja, die Produktion. Ich verstehe, wie gesagt, dass sie manchem im Vergleich zu anderen TVZ-Veröffentlichhung nicht eben zusagt, womöglich gar hindernd ist im Entdecken der Tiefe, die in den Songs steckt, auch wenn ich diese Ansicht nicht teile. Ausnahme: „When he offers his hand“. Vor allem Deine Einlassung, Du hörst hier oft ein nicht stimmiges Piano, kann ich überhaupt nicht teilen. Das Piano trägt manchen Track wunderbar, wenngleich es für eine Van Zandt-Produktion ungewöhnlich erscheinen mag. Nicht nur „You are not needed now“, z.B. auch der Titeltrack wird auch durch das Piano zu dem, was er ist, nämlich schlicht ergreifend. Dagegen ist ein weiteres Highlight des Albums, nämlich „Highway kind“, Townes Van Zandt stripped-down.
