I have an HDCD-capable machine and the new discs sound much better. They’re not harsh at all and you can play them loud. Wonderful discs IMO.

I finally bought the boxset, but the 2 bonus cds were gone missing.
The dealer who is a nice person let me keep my boxset to enjoy it and told me he would exchange mine with a new one when reordered. Let’s hope it won’t run out of stock…
I’m not too sad because the sound is stellar and really really well balanced and I hear details that never occured to me (I had all the HDCD but not the vinyls). Moreover my wife isn’t complaining with headaches anymore with these ones!]

Just arrived after two weeks in transit.
I’ve just turned 2HB up loud and it sounds fantastic. I couldn’t do that with the 1999 remasters without getting a pain in my ear.
