Ok, komme gerade erst heim und habe fünf Liter Bier intus, aber gerade deshalb ein Moment der Wahrheit: Bestes Duett ever und der einzige Song, den ich zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit ohne Probleme auswendig mitsingen kann. 🙂

Neue Platte kommt!Was „missfällt“ Dir denn an „Sing The Delta“? Für mich eines ihrer besten Werke. Schade, dass das neue Album wohl nur auf CD erscheint. „The Way I Should“ wurdes ja zumindest noch als Promo auf Vinyl veröffentlicht. Klanglich ist die Promo auch gut.

Was „missfällt“ Dir denn an „Sing The Delta“? Für mich eines ihrer besten Werke. Schade, dass das neue Album wohl nur auf CD erscheint. „The Way I Should“ wurdes ja zumindest noch als Promo auf Vinyl veröffentlicht. Klanglich ist die Promo auch gut.
Ich fand, die Platte klang irgendwie müde. Ich müsste aber nochmal nachhören, ist etwas her. Die Promo von The Way… habe ich auch, allerdings fand ich, dass meine nicht besonders klingt, aber das ist wahrscheinlich einfach der Erhaltungsgrad.
Nur auf CD? Schade, zumal es ja noch andere DeMent-Platten gibt, bei denen eine Vinyl-Veröffentlichung noch aussteht. Irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, dass im Americana-Bereich doch sehr viel auf Vinyl veröffentlicht wird (winzig kleine Auflagen), deswegen wundert mich das.--

Nicht die beste Wahl. Die Musik geht aber direkt ins/ans Herz auch oder gerade weil es so piano-based ist. Eines meiner liebsten Alben von 2012. „The Way I Should“ klingt nun bei mir auch nicht audiophile… für eine Promo aber doch recht ordentlich. Schade trotzdem dass es nie eine reguläre Vinylausgabe gab. Die neue erscheint leider auch bisher nur als CD. Ärgerlich.
