Oi, diese Little/Ervin-Sache ist eines der gossen Ärgernisse in der Geschichte von Fresh Sound/Lonehill etc… anscheinend haben sie die ganze Session genau einmal komplett rausgebracht:
The TCB LP, Collectables and Lone Hill CD reissues (under Booker Little – Booker Ervin, not Teddy Charles) contain edited versions of Scoochie (vibraphone solo deleted), Cycles (vibraphone solo deleted), The Confined Few (vibraphone solo deleted) and Blues De Tambour (drum solo deleted). The timings listed above represent the actual performances and not the edited versions. The Fresh Sound CD reissue includes Charles‘ spoken introductions.

Das hier ist die „richtige“ Ausgabe auf CD:
(Und das erwähnte TCB-Label hat soweit ich weiss nichts zu tun mit dem westschweizer Label TCB, das von Drummer Peter Schmidlin geleitet wird.)
Die Memphis-Sache ebenso… zwei Tracks gab’s bei Blue Note also Bonus auf dem einen Little/Roach-Album, bei Fresh Sound gibt’s deren drei… sowas von deppert.
Da muss ich mir die Japan-CD wohl noch kaufen, bevor’s wieder zu spät ist.
Was Wes Montgomery betrifft: enthält das Lonehill-Set zusätzlich noch Alan Grant Broadcasts? Ich habe das hier:
