Die Auswahl ist wohl auch dadurch beschränkt, was überhaupt in guter Qualität noch erhalten ist. Avantgarde gab’s am TV kaum, das Ayler-Konzert in London wurde ja anscheinend tatsächlich gelöscht, es ist jedenfalls seit 1966 nicht aufgetaucht… Und komm, Blakey ist doch toll! Eine DVD von seinem Quintett mit Morgan/Shorter und noch eine mit Hubbard/Fuller/Shorter mag’s allermindestens leiden!
