Es gibt in Ekkehard Josts tollem „Free Jazz“ ein Kapitel, in dem die Anfänge der „Befreiung“ im modalen Jazz diskutiert werden – da geht’s natürlich um „Kind of Blue“ und auch um „Flamenco Sketches“, das detailliert beschrieben wird.
Ein Buch spezifisch dazu wüsste ich nicht, aber ich bin mit Jazzbüchern auch nicht sonderlich gut ausgestattet (das Buch von Ashley Kahn über „Kind of Blue“ ist aber lohnenswert, das gewiss!)
