katharsisbtw. kennt jemand Mary Ann McCall? Das Album „Detour to the moon“ soll sehr schön sein. Mir ist die LP gerade zu teuer und auf CD ist sie ohl nie erschienen. Mit Teddy Charles, Jimmy Raney, Mal Waldron und Oscar Pettiford wird sie geradezu exquisit unterstützt.
Weiss zwar nicht, was das mit dem Thread hier zu tun hat, aber ich hab sie als Bändsängerin mit Charlie Barnett (1940) und Woody Herman (1948). Sonst kenne ich nichts von ihr, aber mit der genannte Band muss das ja fast toll sein!
