Natürlich. Aber das ist ja auch nur ein Aspekt, das laufende Jahrzehnt besteht ja nicht nur aus Libertines und Arctic Monkeys. Die 90er hatten allerdings ein klareres Profil, was neue musikalische Strömungen angeht, wenn man an die Bristol-Szene denkt, an Hiphop, an den frühen Timbaland, Björk, Drum & Bass, Daft Punk usw. In den letzten Jahren ist Dubstep z.B. ein sehr lebendiges Genre, BananaJoe hat hier irgendwo mal sehr schön beschrieben, warum das für ihn der Sound der Gegenwart ist. Die Club-Szene lebt natürlich genauso von jungen Fans wie die „Indie“-Szene.
