Das Elend ist ja, dass Let’s Dance Bowies bis dahin kommerziell erfolgreichstes Album war, weil es das Mainstream-Publikum erreichte und Bowie mit den nachfolgenden Alben versuchte, weiter auf dieser Welle zu surfen. Das damit verdiente Geld hat er gerne genommen, künstlerisch ist er dadurch aber verarmt.
