die für mich interessante Aspekte bzgl. ihrer „Live-Qualitäten“ aufwirft.

The Beatles – Ultimate Live In Japan

You know, I have a copy of this from a different company, & I also have an opinion about recorded Beatles‘ performances:

This is the GREATEST STUDIO BAND EVER- BAR NONE!
However, they NEVER should have played to a live audience.

Now that I have your attention- allow me to explain why.
In the years that they were touring, the BIG equipment they had was an Audivox cabinet with a small head attatched, about 100- 150 watts, I believe. Let’s be realistic here- To play to 100,000+ people (let alone screaming female teeny-boppers with raging hormaones)
you realisticly need to have a 700- 800 watt High power cabinet, mike or direct-lined inta a P.A. system of a minimum of 2500 watts, wuth the proper tower designed speakers capable of sustaining 117 Db for an extended period of time.
The equipment they used is not considered valid for today’s local-yocal „bar band“ with an audience of 75, let alone 100,00 + !!!!!!!
The biggest mistake the Beatles ever made was being allowed to be talked into doing concerts in stadium arena. It was apparant from the very first one, & it never ever got better, as ios evidenced by George’s lack-luster rendition of If I Needed Someone. They themselves knew it was awful, but they continued to do the shows until they just plain burned out. What a pity! The whole idea of making music is to play music- how terrible it must have been for them to finally be able to do what they loved most in life, only to find it sa prison far worse than a mundane 9:00 to 5:00 job at the local bank!
But, history is… so as a piece of history I give this a 5/10 rating, because you can herar the pain and torture in the Lads, and one can empathize their plight and acknowledge the sacrifices they made to be ouyr HEROS!!!!

Captain Beefheart to audience: Is everyone feeling all right? Audience: Yeahhhhh!!! awright...!!! Captain Beefheart: That's not a soulful question, that's a medical question. It's too hot in here.
