Darum schrieb ich ja den kleinen Kommentar zu den Blue Note-Aufnahmen.
Für mich sind Blue Note, Prestige, Riverside (mit einigen Ausnahmen: Ellington, The Unique, San Francisco/Blackhawk, Italy/France, wobei die alle auch gut bis sehr gut sind), die eine Vogue-Scheibe, die Carnegie Hall mit Coltrane sowie die ersten beiden Columbias (Monk’s Dream und Criss Cross) der „essentielle“ Monk. Wenn ich aber etwas daraus wählen müsste wären’s klar die Blue Note-Aufnahmen.
