Gesamtwertung: ganz, ganz starke ****

Debüt-Album von Sam Beam von 2002 und für mich immer noch seine Beste.

Sehr vielfältig: natürlich mit einer gewissen Lo-Fi-Anmutung, aber auch der Melancholie eines Nick Drake, Appalachen-Folk, und dann fast wieder 1920er-Blues im Stil eines Blind Lemon Jefferson mit akustischer Slide, tolles Banjo, etc.
Besonders toll der Kontrast seines sehr weichen Gesangs mit den messerscharfen akustischen Gitarren-Riffs.
