Club 8 – what shall we do next? und spring came, rain fell
Ein bißchen luftiger Sommer-Pop gefällig? Das schwedische Duo Club 8 gibts schon seit 95 und haben grob überschlagen vier Alben und ein paar EPs veröffentlicht. Da ich nur die „Saturday Night Engine“-EP kenne, kann ich zu den Alben nicht all zu viel sagen. Man nennt es wohl Anorak-Pop. Sehr süß.
Labrador»Spring came, rain fell« is Club 8´s most diverse, exciting and very best album so far. Dub, C-86, triphop, chill out, 80’s and bossa nova are all mixed up here, but without ever losing focus on those wonderfully Scandinavian and melancholic pop melodies.“
