An interesting stab at reclaiming the English folk tradition for a new generation and a new England, The Imagined Village took us a little by surprise a few weeks ago. However, so impressed were we by this tilt at the venerable folk song, which has in recent times been covered by Traffic, Frank Black and many other rock names, that we had to get it in.
