The Modfather (uugh) has gone back to his Northern Soul roots in some style on the forthcoming single with Andy Lewis, Are You Trying To be Lonely and it is to be released on Acid Jazz! Lewis, considered an arbiter of the nu-soul sound popularised by contemporaries such as Amy Winhouse and Candie Payne, made his name in the 90’s as the original DJ at the legendary Blow Up club in Wardour Street. Both tracks are taken from Andy’s forthcoming Acid Jazz album due in the Autumn called ‚You Should Be Hearing Something Now‘ – available to pre-order at Reflex in due course.

The 1st 1,000 7″ singles will be either numbered or in coloured wax. Needless to say, everyone who wants one of these, should it come to pass, will get one from me. I am in well early with AJ and will get whatever quantity I need.

If the coloured vinyl comes off I would assume that there will be a black as well, so please state if you want both vinyls if applicable.
The prices are 99% confirmed but they may up the price of the Mega Ltd 7″. Unlikely but just keeping you abreast of what may happen. EMI increased the price of the Weller Coxon single by a quid but I had allowed for that anyway :o) Sly dog I am.
I am also trying to get some freebies, be they postcards, badges whatever they come up with. Needless to say they will be yours should I get them
