This time round, Weller and Coxon have come together to record new single ‚This Old Town‘.The track also features the drumming talents of regular Oasis and The Who drummer, and son of Ringo Starr, Zak Starkey.The track will be available for download from July 2, followed by AA sided 7″ single release on July 30. Limited to 5000 copies, the release will also feature tracks ‚Each New Morning‘ (written by Coxon) and ‚Black River‘ (penned by Weller).

Wir sind übrigens momentan dabei für einen morgigen Karaokegig „Shout to the top“ to performen. Ich habe mir extra die Instrumental-Version der damaligen 12-inch auf tape gezogen um sie mit meinem Ghettoblaster + neues Mic schön mixen zu können. Ich tu mich aber verdammt schwer das Teil irgendwie zu singen. Ich würde sogar behaupten, Pauls Vocals sind für einen Deutschen generell schwer zu imitieren.

Das klingt bei mir weder soulig noch wütend, eher schwerstens konzentriert u. extrem deutsch. Vielleicht gibts doch noch eine last minute setlist change.
