Then, in early 2007, there’s more than a chance that Bruce will become a permanent member of the The Gift.
Rick said: „Bruce joining The Gift really will help take things to another level for us.
Current bassist Dave Moore will revert to guitar and keyboards and as a four-piece we’ll be able to bring classic numbers such as ‚Town Called Malice‘ and ‚The Gift‘ into the set.“
The only negative is the duo’s lack of communication with their one-time partner in rhythm, Paul Weller.
Rick say he finds Weller’s constant sniping at the duo ‚petty, childish and insulting‘, and that he’s ’sick and tired of the backbiting‘.
Seemingly that puts to rest any calls of a full Jam reunion. The Gift, featuring Rick Buckler & Bruce Foxton, really is as good as it gets.
