HERE IS THE NEWS
Ausser der Beteiligung am Tom Petty-Album hört man wenig Neues von ELO/Lynne (ausser einem sich neuerlich anbahnenden Namensstreit, da die ehemaligen ELO-Mitglieder, die in Part Two waren und dann gezwungen wurden, sich in „The Orchestra“ umzubenennen, für ihre Tour 2006 wieder den ELO-Namen benutzen (Former Members).
Aber es könnte auch die Ruhe vor dem Sturm sein. Dies hier ist von der „Showdown ELO-Mailing-List“, zitiert nach www.jansoppart.de:
I just got back from the AES (Audio Engineering
Society) convention in NYC with some exciting
news. While sitting in on a Platinum Mastering
lecture, I had the pleasure of meeting Joe
Palmaccio from Sony Music Studios in NYC, NY, who
incidentally was involved in the first set of ELO
Remasters. I asked him after the lecture, if
there were any plans on releasing additional ELO
material. He responded that additional titles
were being worked on as we speak, but was unable
to tell me what those titles are. He said I
should ask Al, who is right behind me. I turned
around and Al Quaglieri, who worked with Jeff on
the first set of Remasters, was standing right
before me. We chatted for a few minutes about new
Remaster material, which he confirmed should be
on the way shortly. He said that Jeff is a
perfectionist, and wants only the best possible
material released. Well I hope this information
was helpful. I look forward, with bated breath,
to this material playing on my CD player in the
near future.
