HERE IS THE NEWS (ELO und Idle Race)
So langsam wird’s etwas konkreter. Im September wird, mit TV Kampagne wohl, die Best Of ´“All Over The World“ in Dtld veröffentlicht.
Auf der FTM-Seite www.ftmusic.com erfahren wir zu Lynne/ELO seit kurzem folgendes:
„Jeff Lynne has finished work on ‚ELO’s Greatest Hits Live‘ a double CD containing over two hours of ELO magic and bonus material from Los Angeles, in addition to other ELO surprises. These include an expanded, definitive edition of ‚Zoom‘, the ownership of which has now reverted from Epic Records to Jeff Lynne. Further news for all things ELO will be released as soon as it is ready during 2005 and 2006.“
Also:
-Lynne hat die Arbeit an der ELO-Live CD fertiggestellt. Sie basiert auf den 2001-Konzerten und enthält zusätzliches Material.
-Es wird eine definitive erweiterte Version der ZOOM geben. Lynne hat ja damals insgesamt 18 Stücke aufgenommen. Die Rechte liegen bzgl ZOOM nun bei Jeff Lynne.
Das ist aber nur eine von vielen weiteren Überraschungen, die dann hoffentlich folgen werden.
Ferner steht nun wohl tatsächlich ein IDLE RACE (Lynnes erste Band) 5-CD BOX Set an:
“ A complete Idle Race biography is currently being prepared as part of EMI Records forthcoming 5-CD Idle Race box set anthology, ‚On With The Show‘.
Featuring remastered editions of the groups original albums (including the rare mono mix of debut album ‚The Birthday Party‘) plus single A & B sides, previously unreleased material, BBC sessions and more!“
