Die auf der Homepage angebotenen Hörproben des James Joyce-Tribute-Albums klingen sehr vielversprechend: Nr. V, „Venture Lifts“ „Golden Hair“, ist übrigens eine weitere Cover-Version von Barretts Joyce-Vertonung.
Aus der Ankündigung: „It’s been a long running project co-ordinated by James here at Fire, and we are ecstatic to announce that we just yesterday received the freshly pressed double CDs of Chamber Music. The beautiful gatefold double vinyl is also on its’s way.
Featuring a staggering array of artists, including Mercury Rev, Peter Buck, Lee Renaldo, Gravenhurst, Ed Harcourt, Puerto Muerto and no less than 30 other others, we are proud to announce a release date of 5th May (22nd July U.S.). Each artist has done their own interpretation of one of Joyce’s 36 love-themed poems, moving from innocence to experince, and the result is surprisingly constant mood considering what a wide variety of artists took part.
